Mother of Dog

Nearly all dog owners in our local park are named different versions of Mary. They are Mary, Maureen, Maria, Marie, Moira, Miriam and Maíre. (There is Mairead too but that is the same name as Margaret so I can't count her in).
All named after the mother of God. Now mother of dog.
Isn't that interesting?
